Going To School

Walking out Of my house, I see a school bus Reminding me that I’m late

I haul myself through its doors And sit on leathery seats, I wave goodbye to my house Its windows like eyes, watching me leave

The lamp-posts I pass Now fast asleep Dormant until tonight

Birds chat with one another Balancing on a thin wire, Like ballerina dancers Standing on the tip of their toes

Once at school, I see Small, weedy flowers, dancing in the wind And a tall concrete building Sitting upright, still as a statue

The Internet is an Ocean

The internet is an ocean

Where anything can be found,

May it be a fishy site

Or one to teach you something bright–

Everything is equally favored, right?

If one were to think on this thought,

The answer might surprise,

As the users think highly of some finds

While many others are marginalized.

The internet is an ocean containing both beautiful and dangerous things,

One that a surfer should be mindful of–

There are nets that capture information;

Some good, some bad, some in-between.

Some people like to connect with their buddies,

Others like to explore mysterious places;

But whatever you do, be cautious–

Many often pollute the spaces.

But one thing is for sure,

Although it mostly roars, occasionally it sings,

The internet is an ocean containing both beautiful and dangerous things.

3 Haiku

Tuna

Sleek, like a bullet

The way of life– swim, or die

Questing ‘till we fall

Bald Eagle

Large, hazel wings

Soaring over coastal shores

Salmonids, beware…

Arowana

Ancient wetland beasts

Wearing coats of gold armor

Asia’s royal fish

A flame that never burns out

Creativity is a flame that never burns out.

Mastering it is not without pain,

But paired with innovation, soon ends a drought.

Just remember, when you are full of doubt

When you have no good ideas and want to complain

Creativity is a flame that never burns out.

When your creativity is hard to let out,

It may feel like you’re thirsty for the rain

But paired with innovation, soon ends a drought.

If you don’t know what this art is all about

And it seems there’s no learning left to gain

Creativity is a flame that never burns out.

With creativity, another thought will always sprout,

A desert cannot forever remain

But paired with innovation, soon ends a drought.

And though it sometimes makes you pout

I’ll remind you very plain

Creativity is a flame that never burns out

But paired with innovation, soon ends a drought.

Leaving My Birthplace

Written with every line an anagram of the first

Leaving my birthplace

Bleach melting a privy

Levying Mr. Alphabetic

Leaving my birthplace

Capably reliving them

Birthplace, a vinyl gem

Leaving my birthplace

Chill every Batman pig

Hip verb, magnetic ally

Leaving my birthplace

Pharmacy belting evil

A vinyl chamber piglet

Leaving my birthplace

Every itch-blaming pal

Calming every hat blip

Skyscraper City

Written with every line an anagram of the first

Skyscraper city

A tricky cypress

I’m carsick yet spry

Skyscraper city

Some icy spy trackers

Err… skycaps city?

Skyscraper city

Some picky tyre scars

A spicy, scary trek

Skyscraper city

A pair of crispy cart keys

Try the sky’s caprices
